PhaseGeneration Methods
1 - Propagation of Instantaneous Frequency
This is like the phase generation method from our time-freeze algorithm.
The response of the resulting Spectral Magnitude Decay algorithm to a windowed sinusoid is a perfect, artificially smooth, enveloped sine wave.
No phase incoherence, for sin inputs -- this changes for more complex input signals.
The impulse response is a series of pulses, and the Vega response can be somewhat jittery.
This may be due to corruption of the instantaneous frequency information, because weÕre deriving a single frequency from the sum of the input and feedback signals, in violation of the phase vocoderÕs assumption of one partial per frequency bin.
